Mr. Mallard is an Energy Solutions Consultant for Johnson Controls, Inc. He specializes in compressed air system engineering, auditing, design and construction as well as energy solution development for renewable energy projects. He has performed compressed air system audits in a wide range of industrial, commercial and institutional facilities. His experience also includes engineering management at Enron Energy Services, technical development of an HVAC business unit and project management at Duke Energy's nuclear power plants, and plant project engineering on compressed air and HVAC systems at Duke Energy's McGuire Nuclear Station.
Mr. Mallard has performed over 100 compressed air system audits ranging from 300 to 55,000 horsepower per system. His experience includes paper and pulp, chemical, automotive, textiles, waste treatment, packaging, fiberglass, furniture, brewery, tile manufacturing, medical, and machinery fabrication. His 30 years of progressive engineering experience include 13 years in engineering design, installation and operation of nuclear power plant systems and components.
Mr. Mallard earned a B.S. in Engineering Science, Mechanics and Materials from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina. He is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina and accredited LEED Green Associate. He is a member of ASME and ASHRAE.
